Booking Terms

DEFINITIONS

Customer: means both the person who stays in the Hotel and the person who uses only one or more of the additional services provided by the Hotel such as – by way of example and not limited to – bars, restaurants, swimming pool, wellness center, parking, etc….

Identity document: identity card issued by a Member State of the European Union, driving license issued by a Member State of the European Union or passport. All documents must be valid.

Hotel: Regina Palace Hotel, Corso Umberto I 29, 28838 Stresa (VB), Italy.

Management: Hotel Manager, or whoever takes his place at the time, or Hotel staff.

 

GENERAL

The following conditions apply to all Hotel Customers.

Direct bookings of stays are considered confirmed when the Hotel sends an official confirmation via email with a booking number to the e-mail address indicated by the Customer during the reservation phase.

The Hotel does not under any circumstances provide the room numbers assigned to each booking in advance as these may vary up to the moment of check-in.

The images published on the Hotel’s website are intended to provide the Customer with a general idea of ​​the Hotel and its spaces, including rooms, and are, therefore, to be considered purely by way of example. Please note that the Hotel is an historic building whose rooms and bathrooms, may vary in terms of size, colors and furnishings. The rooms will be assigned based on the category reserved at the time of booking. The photos displayed in this phase are also by way of example.

The Hotel reserves the right to change the opening and closing dates at its discretion. Should the Hotel be closed during the period in which the Customer had previously made a reservation or should overbooking occur, the Hotel undertakes to find alternative accommodation for the Customer in a neighboring facility of the same or higher category at its discretion and according to availability.

 

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE CONDITIONS

Check-in from 3pm

Check-out by 11:00

If you need an early check-in, please book a night in advance. Any early check-ins not explicitly confirmed in writing by the Hotel will not be guaranteed as they are subject to availability at the time.

If you require late check-out, please inform the Hotel staff who will evaluate, depending on the occupancy of the Hotel and the room itself, whether to confirm it or not. If late check-out is confirmed, please consider the following rates:

  • Check-out between 11 AM and 5 PM: 50% of the nightly rate will be charged
  • Check-out after 5 PM: 100% of the nightly rate will be charged

If the Customer, without having obtained authorization from the Hotel staff, does not vacate the room by 11 AM, the Hotel will automatically charge the aforementioned rates to the room bill.

 

GUEST REGISTRATION DURING CHECK-IN

The Hotel is required to verify on site and register the documents of each Customer who will stay in the Hotel, as required by law. All guests, adults and children of all ages, are required to present an original copy of a valid identity document in order to stay overnight. Guests without a valid identity document will not be able to check in and stay overnight at the Hotel.

It is forbidden to let people who are not regularly registered at check-in at the Hotel stay overnight.

Minors can only check in in the presence of an adult. If this adult is not a parent or guardian, written permission is required from the parent or guardian accompanied by a copy of his or her identity document.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Reservations made directly with the Hotel (via the Hotel’s official website, by telephone or via email) are subject to the following cancellation policies:

It is possible to cancel the reservation without penalty up to 4 days before arrival. From 3 to 0 days before arrival the amount of the entire stay will be charged.

Different cancellation and payment conditions may apply to reservations of more than 3 rooms.

In the event that the Customer, by mistake, makes double reservations, he/she will be required to promptly notify the Hotel in writing within the cancellation deadlines indicated above in order to cancel one of the two reservations. If this does not happen, the Customer will have to pay in full for both reserved stays.

 

RATES AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS

Rates are those indicated in the booking confirmation.

Please note that any exemptions from the payment of the tourist tax must comply with the instructions of the Municipality of Stresa. If the Municipality does not provide exemptions, the Hotel will be obliged to charge the amount of the tourist tax to the Customer in question.

In order to guarantee the reservation, a valid credit card is required for the entire period of the booked stay. The Customer authorizes the Hotel to use the aforementioned credit card in the event of late cancellations, no shows, early departures and for any extra costs charged to the Customer’s account and not paid on site.

The Hotel accepts payments via MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Maestro, Diners Club International, cash (within the limits of the relevant legal provisions) and bank transfer. We do not accept payments by check.

 

SAFETY, DRESS CODE AND GENERAL RULES

The Management reserves the right to deny access to the Hotel and its appurtenances to any person in a clear state of alteration or who is reasonably considered to be a threat to the safety of Customers and/or Hotel staff. 

In order to guarantee the safety of Customers and its staff, the Management reserves the right not to accept animals deemed aggressive or dangerous.

Should one of the situations indicated above occur, the Customer in question or the Customer who owns the animal must, in any case, proceed with the regular payment of the reserved services.

The Hotel is not responsible for the activities carried out by the Customer within the Hotel or in its appurtenances.

The Hotel kindly asks its Customers to respect a dress code appropriate to the environment. Elegant clothing is not required, but customers are asked to avoid the use of shorts, clogs and slippers at the Liberty Restaurant and the Charleston Restaurant. 

Please, remember that it is forbidden to consume food or drinks not purchased at the Hotel in its common areas. 

As regards the Regina Sporting Club, please note that only children who have reached the age of six can access the swimming pool area only, accompanied by their parents. Children are not allowed access to the sauna, Turkish bath and gym.

The Hotel reserves the right to limit children’s access to the Regina Sporting Club and, therefore, to the swimming pool, at certain times at its discretion, without the need to give prior notice.

It is forbidden to bring food or drinks into the premises of the Regina Sporting Club.

It is forbidden to introduce glass objects into both internal and external swimming pool areas.

The Hotel is equipped with heating and air conditioning. In order to reduce the environmental impact and avoid waste, the Hotel will activate the air conditioning systems only in the summer period and the heating only in the winter period when actually necessary and in compliance with the relevant regulations and laws. 

In case of food intolerances and/or allergies, it is the responsibility of the Customer and/or guests to inform the maître on duty who will be happy to propose suitable alternatives.

 

PARKING GARAGE

  1. Parking fee

Parking of cars and other vehicles in the parking garage of the Regina Palace Hotel is subject to a fee.

By presenting themselves at the Hotel entrance, the Client accepts the conditions and rates for vehicle parking determined by the Hotel, which he/she expressly declares to have known and approved.

  1. Waiver of liability for vehicle storage

The parking garage attached to the Hotel Regina Palace is not guarded.

The positioning of vehicles inside the parking structure or in other appurtenances of the Hotel does not constitute a deposit, nor does it imply the assumption of any obligation of custody on the part of the hotelier.

The Client acknowledges and accepts that, for safety reasons due to compliance with fire prevention regulations, the shutters located at the entrance of the parking garage must always remain open.

Consequently, the hotelier will not be held liable for any theft or damage to the vehicles positioned inside the parking garage or in other appurtenances of the Hotel and the goods contained therein.

By placing their vehicle in the parking garage, the Client exempts the hotelier from any liability arising from theft or damage to the vehicles.

  1. Obligations of the Client and of the organizer of special events for the parking of motor vehicles

In cases of participation in rallies or events of vintage or particularly valuable cars, organized at the Regina Palace Hotel, the Hotel requests and demands that the Client compulsorily provides a professional surveillance service at his/her expenses who takes custody of the cars and takes care of their safety throughout the event.

The Client, therefore, exonerates and relieves the Hotel and the hotelier from any type of responsibility deriving from any theft and/or damage to the vehicles positioned inside the parking garage or in any other appurtenances of the Hotel and the goods contained therein.

The Client also undertakes to take out an insurance policy against theft and damage – before participating in the event – which provides compensation proportional to the value of the vehicle which he intends to park inside the parking garage of the Hotel Regina Palace or in any other appurtenances of the Hotel.

  1. Non-compliances and sanctions

In the event of failure to fulfil the obligations set out in clause 3 above, the Management of the Hotel Regina Palace may deny access to the parking garage, without the Client or the organizer of the event being able to make any claims for compensation or of any other nature.

Please remember that parking is not reservable and is subject to availability at the time. 

If the Customer needs a tax receipt or invoice relating to the payment of the parking, please go to the Hotel Reception for the payment and the related issuing of the document.

 

PETS

We inform the Customer that it is possible to bring your dog with you with a supplement per pet per night to be verified when booking. The aforementioned supplement does not imply the provision of any pet products by the Hotel.

Dogs can pass through the lobby to access the room, but access to common areas such as restaurants, Regina Sporting Club, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, wellness cabins, etc… is not allowed.

Customers who have a pet with them are kindly asked to leave them unattended in the room for as little time as possible. If it is necessary to leave them alone in the room for a short time, the Customer is asked to report the presence of the dog by hanging the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. It is also required to leave a telephone number reachable at any time at the Reception so as to be able to contact the Customer in the event of an emergency.

It is forbidden to leave pets unattended on terraces or balconies. The Customer is asked to make sure that the windows are closed before leaving the pet in the room.

In order to guarantee safety, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and in all areas of the Hotel, including common areas and the garden.

Pets owners are responsible for any damage the pet causes to people and/or things. In the event of damage to property attributable to pets, the costs relating to repairs, replacements and/or extraordinary cleaning costs will be charged in full to the pet owner.

 

FORCE MAJEURE

In case that events outside the Hotel’s control should occur such as – by way of example, but not limited to – natural events (such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, strong winds, storms, fires, etc…), natural disasters, epidemics or pandemics, strikes, wars, terrorist acts, faults in electrical, plumbing, gas systems, etc., indications and/or measures of Italian Authorities – such that it is not possible for the Hotel to respect the reservations, the Hotel and the Client will undertake to reschedule the reservation by mutual agreement and according to the principles of good faith.
